During university, I quit piano lessons. I was never confident playing. Several years later, I am now back in lessons and with a new teacher. It’s not easy working full time, training at the gym five days a week, and practicing piano, (or getting on the tree trunk) but it’s worth it. I have a newfound love for piano. It helps significantly to have the right teacher help you attain your goal and my teacher is the most dedicated teacher I have ever had. I am so grateful. I can no longer imagine life without piano.
If you have a goal, you must work hard. There is no shortcut. This is a small part of what I have learned after joining 30 Minute Hit. Becoming a member has been one of the best decisions in my life. After a full day of work, you already feel exhausted. If you can build a routine and go straight to the gym, no matter how tired you feel, you will end up at the gym. For those days when you feel that you have nothing left of you and you still complete the circuit out of habit, you feel strong and powerful afterwards. It’s an amazing feeling.
Lastly, my love for aerial silks will probably never end. I signed up for an introductory session the night before the first class — this was after wanting to try it for years — and have become hooked. After my first class, I was sore in places I had never been sore before. If you’re looking for a fun way to workout, consider aerial silks. If you want to challenge your fear of heights, this is also it. The location I train at focuses on the arts so I also have the opportunity to develop a little bit of my theatre skills. I love watching others more experienced than me during open gym. It is truly inspiring!
