Waterton, Alberta, Canada
This road trip was brought on by a longing to visit the mountains. Our initial stop was Prince of Wales Hotel. The view from there was not disappointing. But then, how can a mountain view be disappointing?
Red Rock Canyon was formed as a result of a geological process called erosion. The rocks contain iron that have been oxidized. Hence, the red color.
There are two trails to choose from at Red Rock Canyon of Waterton, AB. At first, my friend and I attempted the trail at the top of the canyon, but it was not fully operating. Then, we climbed down the rocks. The trail at the bottom had a stream. Rock climbing skills of mine were put to use because I chose not to get wet. It was tricky finding a spot to take a photograph void of people. What do you guys do when the location is too busy and you want to snap a photo?
